Went on a whim after arriving late on a Friday to CB and reading good reviews on Yelp. We didn't have reservations but they sat us at the bar where they serve a full menu (would have been a rather long wait for just two people). Dan and Julie behind the bar were great and the food was really good. They specialize in ginger infused vodka and there are many bar drinks with ginger in the name (appropriately). The Lamb Korma was really nice and had just enough spice to make it interesting. I recommend making reservations as this is a small and cozy place. Nice fusion of Thai, Indian and others.

Ok, so first thing's first, although this restaurant is listed as "Thai," their menu includes dishes from Indian cuisine with other Asian influences as well. We had the smoked salmon lavosh as an appetizer. I'll be honest and say that I wasn't familiar with the term "lavosh" before we had it, but it was fantastic! My entree was a korma with shrimp. The ingredients were definitely high quality and while the spices were also good, the overall dish did not wow in the way I expected. Our server was really nice and helpful, although the overall service was slow. However, being on vacation, this slow food model was totally fine by me. I also enjoyed a couple items on their home-grown drink menu. I had the Ginger Colorado and a Flying Horse (Indian import lager). So, bottom-line, if you like Thai, Indian, or other Asian cuisine and you're in Crested Butte, make a reservation and go to the Ginger Cafe.

I've got to say that the food is awesome. We came early and the place wasn't crowded....That being said, service was really slow. The two drinks my kids ordered sat on the bar for at least five minutes. It seemed as if there was one waitress at the time. Getting past the service, I would recommend this to anyone and would have given them five stars.
(3)Amber C.
Went here last night and was absolutely pleased with the amazing meals we had! Not your traditional thai or Indian style but absolutely worth it. There was so much flavor in each of our dishes. We had the ginger fried rice and vegetable stir fry. Would highly recommend.

Tasty, can't even begin to describe this dining experience . Located along Crested Butte's famous Elk avenue, this gem of a restaurant is not to be missed. This little joint has only 10 or 11 tables, but does not lack the amenities of a 5 star restaurant . The menu is loaded with Thai dishes that will rock your taste buds ! For starters, we tried the crab cakes and a lovely coconut milk based chicken and shitaki soup. Both were delicious and a must have. We then moved on to the duck salad. Wow! What a combination of textures. It included braised duck atop a plate of mixed greens with grapes, blackberries and almonds. Slivers of ginger and mint leaves added to this amazing salad. On to the entrees... I ordered the combination Pad Thai and my partner had the Lamb Korma with saffron rice. I wish I had ordered mine a little more spicy, but the taste was fantastic . The lamb dish was the most savory meal of our entire trip! Congrats to this little establishment for a job very well done. Thai food in the mountains of Colorado ? Absolutely! The place quickly filled to near capacity as we dined. The service was impeccable! We will return not only for the fine dining experience and great service, but for the amazing wine selection as well.
(5)Clary C.
Meh. That's about the best I can say about it. Tempura consisted of mostly shredded carrots (can't recommend) and my veggie "curry" was more like mushy tomato stew with a few mushy veggies. Nothing curryish about it. Worst of all, slooooooow.
(2)Jessica R.
We are vegan/vegetarian and the Veggie curry was ok. The drinks great. The banana dessert, amazing. Dog friendly too!
(4)Min W.
People order to go because they need to get going... Its been almost an hour, we are still waiting for few very basic dishes like pad thai. I don't care how the food tastes, the restaurant's already upset me :(
(1)Lynn H.
Went with a friend. We ordered Thai iced tea (with coconut milk), mint ginger soda, avocado and smoked salmon spring rolls, green Thai curry and pa gra pow. All the food was awesome and came out quick. Jamie (the bartender) helped us choose what we ordered and was interesting to talk to about the area. Will definitely be back.
(5)Jason W.
Great food and the soups rock! The also had some good options for the kids that they really enjoyed. The soup I had was spicy and flavorful. Perfect for me. 4 stars was because they didn't bring all our food, and when we asked about the missing item, it took another 15 minutes to get chicken wings, even though there was only one other table.
(4)Greg M.
We had multiple recommendations to eat at the Ginger Cafe for our first visit to Crested Butte. The smells coming from the restaurant in the afternoon were wonderful and brought us to make a dinner reservation for that night. The place was packed and clearly is a go-to restaurant for many Crested Butte regulars. Food was good but portions are small and service was extremely slow. While it gives you a great opportunity to sit, talk, and enjoy the Crested Butte atmosphere, waiting twenty minutes just to put a drink and appetizer order in is a bit excessive and lost it a star. You might want to try coming during off-hours.
(3)Brian K.
Wow, amazing food for a little place. The menu is a mix of Thai, Indian (I think, I wasn't paying close attention), Japanese, maybe some Chinese. I stuck to the Thai side and was quite happy. As others said, it seems to be a local favorite, packed even on weekdays. Especially if you're tired of burgers and pizza, I highly recommend this place!
(5)Ren C.
Not sure how I feel about this.. Something changed... Pretty slow service and awful food.. Not even an Asian joint anymore..
(1)Stuart A.
The pad Thai was amazing, some of the best I've ever had. Was there on vacation from Florida. Also we ordered smoked salmon spring rolls which were great.
(5)Kirby C.
Good service. I was standing by the door while the hostess ran my card and a server came over to check on me. So, kudos for that. Their vegetarian curry was spicy but could have used a little seasoning (salt, ginger, garlic) to round out the dish. The rice was a little too al dente for me. The chicken salad was good but could have used almost double the amount of dressing for takeout. In all, 4 stars for the service and the atmosphere even though we didn't eat in but only three stars for the food.
(4)Christine W.
This place came with recommendations, but sometimes locals hype up what's in their town cause it's the best there is-- even though it's not the best. This is the case with Ginger. Service was painfully slow for only 4 of us on the patio at 5pm. The Thai iced tea was chalky tasting with no sweetness. Who serves it this way? A first for us. My mint soda was totally forgotten by the waitress-- oh well. The mussels were ok. The $13 or so price was about average for this dish. Flavor was decent but some of the mussels tasted old and being from a seacoast we decided to pass on a few. It was an average experience so we asked for the bill and decided to eat dinner elsewhere. Will I go back next time I'm in CB? Probably not.
(3)David B.
Crested Butte comes through for us with a great spot for dinner! It's an upscale Thai spot that has some Indian and others flavors a mixed in. Our dishes and appetizers were super tasty and spiced well. The menu doesn't have tons of vegan options (most people don't care anyways) but they were very accommodating and made me this awesome spicy vegi dish Kadai (see photo) that was on point! They use local ingredients, which is a plus for me. It is a bit on the pricy side, but Ginger has a nice vibe and ambiance, so what do you expect in this fancy ski town? It's still affordable and great quality. Totally recommend it!
(4)Mateo J.
You don't need my recommendation, as the locals will certainly set you straight, but this place is great. I had the spring rolls (not my fave, but still good) and the chicken green curry (wow). Highly recommend that curry. I hear the lamb is astounding too. The ambience is cute & comfy, and the staff is super friendly. I recommend coming in during off peak hours (2-5:30pm), as it gets SLAMMED during lunch & dinner. Also, they claim to have wi-fi, but it doesn't work...fortunately this town is FULL of little wi-fi spots. Long story short, do yourself a favor & drop in for a meal. You won't be disappointed :)
(4)April K.
This place is delicious for Thai food. Always fresh ingredients, the decor is super warming, and it gets great sun light. Come here and warm up with a spicy bowl of Tom Yum Goong. {----- the best soup I've ever had. Tons of fresh mushrooms, herbs, cherry tomatoes, shrimp and chili oil. Duck salad was also delicious and fresh, but order your duck rare to med rare so it doesn't come out over cooked.
(4)CJ O.
Appetizer crab cakes, soup Tom Karen GAO is the coconut milk broth, chicken, shiitake and lemongrass. Duck salad. And for an entree --- lamb korma ----Colorado lamb in a cream sauce
(4)Danielle A.
Thai/Indian menu. Very tasty Korma (not overly sweet curry) and rogan gosht. Tender lamb. Vegetable spring rolls were nice and fresh, but poorly constructed. Noteworthy desert: tempura fried banana split. So strange and so good.
(4)Mike W.
This is our second time dining at Ginger Café and both times the food & the staff have been excellent. The menu has a lot of selections, even for folks who may not think they know or enjoy Thai cuisine. Our 2 boys (ages 13 & 16) plus my wife and I all had appetizers and entrees. Prices are reasonable with entrees in the $12-18 range. The dining room is warm and cozy and service is attentive. I'd highly recommend this restaurant for their overall good food, service & pricing!
(4)Audrey C.
The calamari was tender but my pho was cold & tasted like dishwater and I did not eat any. My husband had the veggie pori wrap and half the veggies were undercooked, the rest cooked to mush. Forty bucks for a very dissatisfying lunch. And the service was poor. Will not return
(2)Rick F.
Consistently great food and service. We have been coming to Crested Butte for years and this restaurant has been on our 'must goto' list year after year. Today's meal did not disappoint! Beef salad and tom yum soup were outstanding. Spring rolls and Thai chicken salad were as well!
(5)Nikki G.
Everything we ordered was delicious. I think my dad just pointed to the menu (because he couldn't see in the low lighting) and said, bring me whatever that is. Goes to show you can't go wrong in this place. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Crested Butte.
(5)Christina T.
We heard good things about this place and it was so good! We tried the Chicken Fried Rice and the flavor of the rice was amazing! The crab cakes were okay but the spring rolls were great and so fresh! Get the fried rice!
(5)M K.
we had salmon spring rolls with ginger sauce, moso soup, green curry chicken and veggie curry. all dishes were tasty and fresh.
(5)Stacie S.
So, so good. We split 3 dishes between 2 adults and 4 kids, and it was plenty with an extra order of rice and naan bread. The food took a while to come out, but it was worth the wait! The Pad Thai with chicken and chicken curry were really good...but the lamb korma was so fantastic we begged for the recipe!
(4)Rick C.
We had a delicious dinner. For an appetizer we had "Thai Lavosh" with saffron shrimp, roasted red pepper, scallion, mung sprouts and fresh homemade pesto topped with Havarti cheese on Lavosh cracker is beyond delicious. Everything was topped with cilantro and lime - I had Pad Thai - rice noodles, tofu, chicken, scallions, bean sprouts, chopped roasted peanuts and cilantro ...mixed with Pat Thai Sauce: consisting of a mixture of tamarind juice / palm sugar / fish sauce ... My wife had the special - Pa Gra Pow a spicy stir fry with carrot, onion, red bell pepper, Thai chili and basil with shrimp, scallops, chicken, coconut curry
(5)Kimberly D.
Cute venue. We ordered curries. Portions were very small. Food taste was good, but not special. Won't go back. Other places in CB are better values.
(2)Alicia S.
Fantastic, fresh cuisine, Asian and Thai flavors, great place to have a leisurely lunch or dinner, drunken thai tea was fabulous too! Top notch experience!
(5)Mary Y.
We have entertained many friends at ginger Cafe, The service is excellent and the food is delicious! nice list of specialty cocktails. Looking forward to having dinner there again this weekend! Parking has never been a problem with!
(5)Lauren A.
So delicious! The cocktails and the food was awesome. I got the spicy stir fry and it was great. I will be coming back next time I am in Crested Butte!
(5)Armando M.
Fantastic green curry. This is a great find for something spicy to warm you up after your outdoor adventure.
(4)Natalie G.
The atmosphere and service is absolutely wonderful! Went for happy hour. The prices are so good but the app's quality equal the price.
(4)Jamie W.
I've always loved the menu here, but have never been crazy about the actual preparation. I'm down to coming here once a summer. Well, after tonight's experience, I'm not sure I'll even go back for the once a year. We waited over 40 minutes for someone to bring a menu or take a drink order. With four empty tables nearby and three waitstaff working the other three tables nearby, it was clear something was very wrong here so we split. At least I wouldn't be disappointed with the food preparation again!
(1)Susan T.
excellent dinner and great prices. Loved the ginger martini. The staff is friendly and engaging. Very good time in this cosy spot.
(5)Andrew W.
Off season in Crested Butte and we found Ginger Cafe open for lunch. Wow what a treat, great food and great service.
(4)Aaron M.
Really really good Thai food. I am no expert, but I had it for lunch (~$10) and liked it so much I was back the next night for dinner. Service was a little thin for how busy they were but they got it done and the food came out promptly. Will be back.
(5)Mark M.
Enjoyed a great late lunch here on Saturday. Calamari was first rate. Best Chicken Pad Thai I have ever tasted. Service was excellent as well.
(5)Bruce R.
Good, Asian fusion fare. Went with the family, wife liked the vindaloo shrimp, my son's green Thai curry was a hit my duck salad was yummy...nice touch with the candied ginger. On the down side, my son's butter noodles were just that, noodles with butter (on a positive note, they are appropriately named). We had a 45 minute wait though for our food which takes the review down a star.
(3)Elissa F.
Great food, service and ambiance. We had the yummy veggie spring rolls with peanut sauce, followed by Thai fried rice with tofu and a delicious curry dish with tofu. Everything was topped with cilantro and lime -- very tasty. We are vegan and the waitress patiently explained our options. The service was fast and very efficient Enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend.
(4)J S.
Excellent service, great atmosphere, killer food.
(5)Leighton L.
Yummy light food and filling portions. I ate an appetizer as a meal. Was delicious
(5)Jerry B.
The Ginger Cafe has risen to be one of the best restaurants in Crested Butte in the past year. The Thai Lavosh with saffron shrimp, mung sprouts and pesto on Lavosh cracker is beyond delicious. All of the curries, the entree sized salads and the pad Thai are fabulous. To boot, they make wonderful cocktails. The Ginger Martini and the Mango Mojito are to die for. There is a non alcoholic Mango Mint Fizz.....with muddled fresh mint, that I am addicted to. Go early for lunch or dinner, as this restaurant is very popular....even in the off season.
(5)Jane M.
This place was off the hook. I never would have imagined we could find it in such a tiny town. We arrived during happy hour and got two of the $2 appetizers with our $2 happy hour brews. What really rocked, however, was our selection of main dishes. Sweet, savory, fresh, spiced to perfection. These included ginger fried rice, a spicy chicken dish with cardamom, and the best papaya salad I have ever even tasted. Enough. Come to San Francisco, Spencer!
(5)Ali W.
The mango cheesecake at Ginger Cafe is one of the best desserts I had at Crested Butte. Usually cheesecakes are so thick and rich that I get sick afterwards. The mango cheesecake here is lighter than others, and I actually ate a whole slice by myself without puking. The graham cracker crust is moist and eatable, unlike other dry ones that just makes me cough. The entrees are pretty good, but not spectacular. It's an affordable place for lunch. It's funny to me that they serve both Thai and Indian food. They must be confused. I'm confused. 1 star off: Note to Ginger's Cafe: Please make up your mind.
(4)Cary S.
We love their food--it's all been very good. Sometimes the service has been a little slow but it's always friendly. Their ginger drinks are yummy too.
(4)Mira S.
Small and intimate setting, good service, menu is limited but the dishes featured have lots of flavor and taste. We did family style and shared 4 different dishes, plus 3 small appetizers - all were well prepared - fresh ingredients and lots of flavor from various herbs and spices used. Not a typical Thai food restaurant though. I think the food here has combination of Thai and Indian cuisines incorporated into preparation of every dish.
(4)Patrick L.
Both myself and my fiancé thought our meals were fantastic. We were a little nervous about how spicy the meals would be, so they toned it back a little and was just right. I had a shrimp salad and she had a steak salad. It was easily our favorite meal of the week in CB.
(5)Melissa H.
I'm surprised to see the less than raving reviews here. My husband and I had a memorable meal over Labor Day weekend at Ginger Cafe and I wanted to write about how much I enjoyed it. The spring rolls were FRESH and you could almost taste how local the greens were. The portion was huge and it was a perfect appetizer. They had just run out of the peach lavosh, which was a huge bummer because that was one of the main reasons we went there (on recommendation from a local). Regardless, the spring rolls were terrific. I asked the waitress for the spiciest dish on the menu and she brought out the Pad Ka Prow which was no disappointment. It was savory, sweet, and hella spicy. Perfection. My husband had the beef and ginger fried rice dish and it was equally delicious. We had the coconut sorbet for dessert and it was the perfect way to soothe our burning lips. The restaurant was small and a bit loud - we had a group with kids next to us. So, don't go for a romantic, intimate meal. Go for a tasty adventure in spice and enjoy!
(4)Kerri-Leigh G.
I had a very difficult time finding food I could eat as a gluten-free vegan in Crested Butte. Then I found Ginger Cafe. When I told our waitress about my insane allergies, she went through the menu and told me exactly what my options were. I had amazing vegetable rolls with an unbelievable satay dip, a shittake salad with a Vietnamese dressing made of awesome, and gigantic cup of edamame. The soy sauce she brought was tamari--gluten-free! I had enough food left for dinner, the price was exceptionally reasonable, the service was excellent (though the kitchen was a bit slow), and the ambience was fabulous. I'll definitely come back next year!
(5)Jack C.
Fusion. Bold. Sustainable. Spencer, owner of Ginger Cafe invited me for give the cafe another try. It shows care and enthusiasm for his dinning establishment. I enjoyed the availability of fresh, local agriculture like the peaches from Paonia, zucchini stuffed with goat cheese. The papadum stands out for me since I never had it flash-fried. A good treat if you like little snacky fried starts. The spicest dish, Pad Kum with tofu has a deep Thai Basil flavor. If you are vegan/vegetarian, ask instructions without fish sauce. Mango cheesecake is a rich, creamy infusion of aroma. highly recommend it.
(4)Nancy D.
Service was slow and I got the wrong dish, but didn't send it back because I didn't want to wait any longer. I started with the miso soup which was quite good. I ordered the Thai fried rice but got a curry dish instead. It was okay. My husband order pad Thai and said it was too sweet. Because there are not many Asian restaurants in CB, I would give Ginger Cafe another try.
(3)Rachael G.
Really fresh veggies, great value! My clothes smelled like the kitchen after, but was totally worth it.
(5)Doc R.
Nice little spot for a warm meal in CB. Decent food and generous portions but nothing special. Drinks are hit or miss. Can get busy/crowded around holidays.
(3)Sean S.
Fantastic place and the outdoor seating allows you to people watch and interact with everyone on main street. Like most of the other places in downtown, it's small, so don't expect to rush right in during the busy times! The food is great - Thai food with a bit of mountain flair - and I would highly recommend the ginger mojito for at least a "Try It Once" kind of drink. I'm usually a beer man(microbrews are the best), but found this to be an excellent beverage. Probably not the best kids place because of the size and number of people, but ours had great fun playing on the boulder that sits in the front yard of the place when they were done eating. The staff that work there are very friendly and they seem to check up on each other when they are busy. We never had an empty glass or were waiting very long at all for any kind of service. Definitely give this place a shot next time you are in CB!
(5)Kathie T.
Good place for date night.
(4)Gabriel B.
Wow amazing food! Flavorful and complex, very different than your regular thai/indian place, try the ginger fried rice!
(5)Thistle f.
OH MY GOD!! GREAT FOOD!! Not only was the food extremely tasty, it was also creative and interesting. We had an alcoholic Thai ice tea that was marvelous! I love love love this place. Wish we were in this area more often to eat here! Servers were a bit aggressive about up-selling, which got a bit old, but the food was so great that we didn't mind.
(5)JJ M.
We had a nice meal here. Shrimp spring rolls with great peanut sauce. Pad Thai and tofu vindaloo. Decent sauvignon blanc. Atmosphere is a notch above most Asian, but nothing special. Mountain-chic I suppose. After dinner we took our drinks outside to finish on the lawn and enjoy the sites on Elk St. We would definitely go back and recommend it.
(4)B T.
Used to have good food and drinks but has gone downhill in the past year. Plus the place is not that clean and needs some maintenance. Server quality is highly variable. The salads, which used to be good, were awful this summer. Plus the prices are much higher than Ryce, an Asian bistro up the street.
(2)spencer h.
Getting ready for summer!!!
(5)Carolyn H.
Thai? I have never had Thai food that was so bad. The description of the vegetable curry dish I ordered said "carrots, peppers. basil" . I assumed these would be fresh. Instead they were cooked like a stew! No fresh veges at all. If you must go to this restuarant stick with the delicious mango mojito and potstickers.
(1)chewy c.
Not really sure what to describe this place as...Thai-Indian-fusion-of-some-sort. Very cute though with a pretty decent menu to select from and a nice outdoor seating section. We've eaten here for dinner and also ordered pick up; both take over an hour for the food to make it to your plate so plan accordingly. $70 will get you an order of pakora, chicken korma, braised lamb curry, veggie curry, and saffron rice.
(3)Ferdinand B.
I shelled out $15 for a small cup of curry w/ rice at night. The place is small, stuffed with snobs, so I got it to go. Everyone looked at me & thought I was a thief since I wear combat boots & have a mohawk style, plus had a few months worth of beard from living out in the wild for 5 months . They pulled the ol "bait & switch" from the lunch to dinner menu, where everything doubles in price. It was pretty good but the portion & price is what is a definate minus. Not my scene either.
(2)Ashley M.
The Pad Thai is yummy and fresh and the drinks are delish. Two for one Pad Thai dinners during off season is hard to beat in a town full of expensive restaurants!
(4)Chrissy C.
I'm glad Ginger Cafe moved to a bigger location on Elk Ave. Frankly I am surprised to see so much grumbling...I had a nice appetizer of curry mussels and my dining partner had Biryani with lamb. Very tasty stuff! I also had a salad and was pleased with that as well. Service was above average. I will come back to Ginger Cafe.

Meh. That's about the best I can say about it. Tempura consisted of mostly shredded carrots (can't recommend) and my veggie "curry" was more like mushy tomato stew with a few mushy veggies. Nothing curryish about it. Worst of all, slooooooow.

Pros: Great food, good portions Cute atmosphere Cons: Seeming very slow service, even at 1:10 pm, technically after the lunch rush should be nearing an end. There were TONS of dead bugs and a few alive ones all around inside. Let me preface this with the fact that I've been a server at an up beat restaurant for years now, so I know what it's like, under staffed in the kitchen and/or front of house, lunch rushes and all. I also know how hard it is when a server has tables inside and out, and how hard it is to handle larger groups. Also, I understand how even the greatest of servers have a bad day or two. We were a party of 5 and we arrived shortly after 1 pm on a Monday. The patio was full, so we obliged to sit inside for no wait. It started to feel very slow service from the start. It took more than 5 minutes to get our sodas and iced teas, which we all finished quickly because we had just finished horseback riding. Not once did our server (not sure the name, not sure if she ever said it) notice the empty soda cups and fill them on her own, we had to actively ask for all five of our drinks to get filled, multiple times. This is when it got pretty darn slow. I had sent a text to my buddy shortly after ordering at 1:11pm. We didn't get our appetizers until 1:35 or so. Now I understand taking your time for appetizers so we can drink more, or if the kitchen is busy... but it honestly felt like our server may have forgotten to ring us in or something, because we saw two tables (taken by another server) get their appetizers AND one even got their main dish before we got our appetizers. 25 minutes for appetizers seems a bit high. Again, I know that certain foods take longer than others, but the neighbor table seemed to have the same kind of food as we ordered (fresh salmon wraps, and curries) 10 minutes or so later, we got our entrées, finally. It was good, but it certainly irked the less patient people in my party how long it took. Honestly, I'm more worried about the fact that the server never even mentioned anything, as if everything was okay. Also, I couldn't identify a single manager in the front of house, so there was a bit of a long time where we felt there was no one watching or taking care of us. I'm not blaming the server, but her training seemed a bit weak. She didn't know if they had ketchup, was overwhelmed with her tables, perhaps because she didn't seem to be super efficient at picking up things and running them with more things at once (I saw her only running a single bill or just one drink way too many times, so she got overwhelmed as things started to stack up on each other) If there was another server to give our server a smaller section, or a manager to help keep us occupied and happy, I'd probably give it 5 stars. I can tell from the other few reviews that we had a bad little experience, not the typical style of work this restaurant can offer. Overall, just a little disappointed in the service (and the multitude of dead bugs... yech!!)
(3)Michael H.
I guess I ordered the wrong thing here. Indian chicken wings not that good. Took a long time to get served at our table of 6. All the other food was a notch better than mine, but still pretty mediocre overall. Will say lunch or dinner in the summer on the patio on a nice day can be pleasant. Great location on Elk, but the food ranges from disappointing to just ok. Meh.
(2)Jason W.

(3)Mateo J.

(4)Missy V.
I've walked by this place a million times but hadn't stopped in until tonight. I couldn't decide whether to go for Thai or for Indian, so I tried both. I had the fresh spring rolls with shrimp for an appetizer. I really liked the peanut sauce but the rolls were a bit too 'green veggie' for me. They were still decent but I'd likely try something else next time. I'm kind of an Indian food snob but I braved the lamb korma, which came out piping hot. It could have used a little more spice (totally my preference) but it didn't state on the menu that it was supposed to be spicy. I'd definitely get it again and ask for a little more pizzazz. The atmosphere was good for a Tuesday night so I'm sure it would be rocking come the weekend. Considering I'm pretty hard to please when it comes to Indian and Thai food restaurants, everything was pretty good and I'd definitely come back!

While my whirlwind visit to Crested Butte last weekend for a friend's wedding was far too short, this was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The food is probably best described as pan-Asian, there are Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, and other southeast Asian things to choose from. Because I'd been eating horrible food all weekend, I chose to go healthy with a miso soup and their house salad, which were both fantastic and reasonable for typical mountain town prices. Although when my friends' food came, I couldn't help picking at their food because they had chosen less healthy but infinitely more delicious options. If (or should I say when) I go back to CB, I'll be ordering the Pad Thai. It comes standard with chicken and tofu, and I have to say their sauce is so yummy, it made for the best tasting tofu I've ever had. My friend refused to eat the tofu, so luckily I got to steal it all!
(4)Charles C.
I had a wonderful experience at Ginger. Not only were the drinks and the food absolutely phenomenal, but the service that we received from the beautiful people that work here was also highly unexpected and greatly welcomed. The hostess catered to my group of 8 perfectly even though the restaurant was booked solid until 9 (we went at 6). A must go to for anyone in CB.
(5)Jenae M.
We ate at the cafe three times in three days. Every drink and dish was wonderful. Watch out for the watermelon margaritas- they will sneak up on you! Also, drink a lot of water, the food can be spicy and the high altitude requires it.
(5)M B.
Fantastic dinner. The appetizers made the meal. We loved the spring rolls. Great drink selection and tasty curries. The entrees are good sized portions. Friendly service too. We will definitely be back.
(5)Erik S.
This places serves the most watered-down Thai Iced Tea I've ever tasted, and the Pad Thai isn't great either. The food tasted like it had been cooked by someone whose idea of Thai cuisine came from reading a recipe and tweaking it so it tastes like what you'd expect from a "Thai Noodles" ramen kit. "Medium" means "no detectable spice at all" at this place, and the fact that they didn't have a spice tray to bring out should speak volumes to anyone familiar with more authentic Thai restaurants.
(2)Rick C.
(5)chewy c.
(2)Thistle f.
(1)Ashley M.
